 Articles submitted for publication in International Journal of Sports science and Arts must be original. Authors are also asked to provide a letter to the effect that articles submitted for publication in the journal were never published anywhere, locally or internationally.

v All articles published in International Journal of Sports science and Arts, will be read by international peer-reviewers and accepted for publication upon their recommendation. Based on peer-reviewers' recommendation, articles will receive one of three decisions:

  • Accept the article for publication,
  • Accept the article for publication after minor changes are made by the author
  • Reject the article.

 Authors will be notified of the decision of the Editorial Board, regarding publication within 1 to 2 weeks of submission.

 Authors are given 2 weeks for revision. If revisions are not received within 2 weeks the manuscripts will need to be re-submitted as new manuscript.

Publication Rules

Abstract page

The title should be provided at the top of the abstract page (bold, fonts size-16 pts, adjusting-centered). The abstract should be similar to the full text and summarize the contents of the article and; it should be informative, self explanatory without reference to the text of the manuscript; include essential and significant results that support the conclusion of the work-abbreviations should not be used in the abstract,-200 to 400 words or less are allowed in this section maximum , adjusting-left to right. The abstract should be structured in the following format: Introduction, Study aim, Material and methods, Results, and Conclusions;

Introduction: In one or two sentences, summarize the scientific body of knowledge surrounding your study and how this led to your investigation.

Study aim: State the theory(ies) that you are attempting to prove or disprove by your study or the purpose if no hypothesis exists.

Study Design: Identify the overall design of your study.

Material and methods: Succinctly summarize the overall methods you used in your investigation. Include the study population, type of intervention, method of data collection, and length of the study.

Clinical Relevance: If yours was a laboratory study, describe its relevance to clinical sports medicine.

Results: Report the most important results of your study. Only include positive results that are statistically significant, or important negative results that are supported by adequate power. Report actual data, not just P values.

Conclusion: State the answer to your original question or hypothesis. Summarize the most important conclusions that can be directly drawn from your study.

Keywords

3 to 4 key words not used in the title should be provided; adjusting-left to right, at the end of the abstract.

Author Guidelines

=============

Articles submitted for publication in IJSSA must be written in English and according to the international publication standards. Specifically, authors are expected to abide by the following rules when submitting their papers for publications:

1- Type manuscripts on good quality A4 paper on one side of the paper, leaving margins of 2.5 cm on all sides.

2- Type manuscripts in Microsoft WORD, 1.5 -spaced throughout with a 14 -point font.

3- Format the manuscript using the divisions discussed in the following paragraphs.

A. Abstract: Research Articles require structured abstracts up to 400 words in length. An abstract should include the following sections: title, purpose, method, sample used, scope of the study, discussion, results and conclusions.

B. Text: Research Articles should include: introduction, method, results, discussion, conclusions, recommendations (if any) and the list of references.

C. Page Numbering: Number all pages of the paper, beginning with the title page. The number is in the top right corner (1.5 inch from right and % inch from the top page edges).

D.  Tables: Tables should use Arabic numbers in sequence throughout the article. Each table should be placed as near as possible to the reference made to it in the manuscript. Do not submit tables as separate or supporting documents. Reference tables in the text to indicate placement. Include descriptive titles and headings for columns or rows. Avoid unfamiliar abbreviations. General footnotes to tables should be collected as "Note:" or "Notes:" Sequenced letters—a, b, c, etc—should be used in footnotes.
